Develop and implement industrial relations policies aligned with organizational goals and applicable labour laws. Stay abreast of local, state, and national labour laws, ensuring the organization's compliance. Manage relationships with unions, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and handling disputes or negotiations. Facilitate resolution of workplace conflicts, grievances, and disputes between management and employees. Advocate for fair treatment of employees, ensuring their rights are protected and addressing concerns promptly. Lead negotiations for employment contracts, terms, and conditions, aiming for mutually beneficial agreements. Conduct investigations into alleged policy violations, discrimination, harassment, or other employee-related issues. Foster effective communication between management and workmen to promote a positive work environment. Develop and conduct training programs on industrial relations policies, labour laws, and conflict resolution for both employees and management. Lead or participate in collective bargaining processes, representing the organization's interests while maintaining positive labour relations. Stay engaged in discussions about labour policy changes and represent the organization's position in relevant forums. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with industrial relations matters, providing strategic advice to management. Act as a mediator in labour disputes, facilitating discussions to find mutually acceptable solutions. Maintain accurate records of industrial relations activities, agreements, and relevant communications. Collaborate with HR, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment in policies and practices.
