Position OverviewThe key role is integral to support the Finance Manager for India in statutory audit and reporting, assisting in monitoring the Treasury, Taxation and Financial Planning Analysis and fostering Wallem Group transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities & AccountabilitiesEnsure correct calculation and timely payments of Direct Tax (Corporate Tax/Transfer Pricing/Withholding Taxes including Advance Tax) and Goods and Services TaxFile the Corporate Income Tax/Withholding Tax Returns and the related documents on a timely basisSupport the requirement of Transfer Pricing from documentation and Transfer Pricing Reporting point of viewHandle all the other local tax related filing process for the entities, including Goods and Services Tax and any other indirect taxesProvide professional advice for any local related tax matters/enquiresEnsure compliance to the company reporting standard and policies.
Ensure compliance with both local accounting standards as well as Group (International Financial Reporting Standard)Ensure robust end to end accounting process to support timely, accurate, and compliant statutory & management reporting (Profit/Loss, Balance Sheet, etc.)
including quarterly Balance Sheet Reviews, account reconciliations and financial risk management within the agreed timeline / schedulesPrepare Financial Statements, Year-end Pack / Quarter-end Pack, monthly financial analysis and review with respective business leadersSupport in Fixed Asset Register maintenance and monthly migration of transactions between Indian Books and Group BooksAct as single point of contact with auditors; ensure timely completion of every type of audit with all the submissions / notes provided to the auditors as per requirementsSupport the country level Budget and ForecastPerform Comprehensive Variance Analysis and Explain the Root Cause for each Significant VarianceSupport in providing GL information and details including expense and income analysis by function and variance vs budget or rolling forecastsTrack the business performance and ensure the rolling forecast is properly deliveredMonitor the company's cash flow (in and out) and assist in cash flow planningSupport accurate and timely records of InvestmentsQualifications & CompetenciesDegree in Accountancy or equivalentQualified Chartered Accountant with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Tax & Financial ReportingExperience in MNCs would be an added advantageIn-depth knowledge and experience in financial and corporate accountingIn-depth knowledge and experience in accounting system usage and business process improvementsIn-depth knowledge in Taxation, FP&A and TreasuryAnalytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detailsInterpersonal Skills including strong written and oral communication skillsComputer literate with particular emphasis on MS Word/Excel and OutlookGood interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain work relationshipsAble to exercise sound judgementResilient and able to work under stress
