Job Description:

  • Position Title: Regional Sales Manager
  • Department: Exide - Sales & Marketing, Strategic Business Unit: Automotive
  • Location: As per Business Requirement, Grade: M3

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports to: (Direct) Zonal Head
  • Reported by: (Direct Reports) Area Managers

Purpose of the Position: Directs and controls regional activities to achieve sales targets for a specific geographical area

  • Directs the overall business in the assigned region
  • Manages Sales Executives and Sales Trainees to meet sales targets
  • Controls the budget for the region
  • Develops relationships with key customers and relevant bodies
  • Responsible for demand generation activities and channel partner management
  • Monitors competitors' sales performance
  • Provides expertise on business development
  • Ensures achievement of sales targets
  • Adheres to sales policies and corporate marketing guidelines

Job Qualification:

  • Graduate in any discipline (Engineering preferred)
  • MBA/ PGDM in Marketing
  • Work Experience: 12-15 years in relevant industries with 3+ years in a similar position

Interfaces:

  • Key Internal Interface: Service Department, Plants, Supply Chain Department, Accounts Department, IT Department, Personnel & Admin Department
  • Key External Interface: Channel Partners, End Users/ Customers, C&F Agents, Fleet owners, Warehouses

Experience: 12-14 years in channel sales, handling entire state with large business volume

Candidate Industry: Auto ancillary, Tyres, Paints, Plywood, Consumer Durables
