Job Purpose
The role of the Senior Project Manager is to achieve or surpass the target cost, schedule and quality for the assigned project, while adhering to the highest standards of safety and meeting all statutory requirements. He/ she will be responsible for the entire Project life cycle all the way from planning and conceptual design right up to handover of the completed assets to operations and until achieving steady state.
Job Accountabilities
·Ensure complete clarity on the project scope and deliverables/ outcomes, key stakeholders, risks and mitigation measures.
·Prepare a baseline Project Execution Plan with key implementation strategies that integrates all Engineering Procurement Construction Operations (EPCO) functions and all disciplines within these functions.
·Provide inputs to enhance value, to reduce costs and to ensure flexibility in project design
·Design the framework for project execution and set up project organization in line with the Company's policies and management expectations.
·Ensure Project Management Processes and SOPs are in place and assiduously followed
·Select and Appoint Engineering consultants and Contractors as required
·Drive front availability in all areas: Engineering, Material availability at site and in Construction sequence
·Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management. Leverage technology intensively to improve productivity.
·Install an effective Project Controls system that continuously monitors the project plan, identifies Critical paths and highlights all key issues that might impact schedule/ cost, and drive their resolution.
·Install an effective Change Order Management system
·Effectively lead and communicate project expectation to team members in a timely manner.
·Lead and allocate work to the team while clearly defining individual role and responsibility.
·Provide technical inputs/reports/clarification to inter disciplinary teams involved in the project/construction activity.
·Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors/vendors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
·Play an active role in assisting sub-contractors / vendors in resolving critical issues and facilitate timely payments.
·Co-ordinate with the Liasioning team to ensure timely permission from statutory authorities.
·100% adherence to Safety and Quality norms and related training to all employees and contractors.
·Prepare a Project close-out report that identifies Lessons Learnt and Process improvement areas
Skills/Competencies Required
·Project Management mindset that gives importance to time value of money
·Knowledge of best practices and implementation strategies that extensively leverage technology across EPC in very large Real Estate developments
·Knowledge of construction systems, methods, micro planning, supply chain management
·Ability to plan and integrate across various functions and across various disciplines towards a common goal. Should be an excellent Team player.
·Ability to interpret drawings of all disciplines and cross-discipline interfaces
·Knowledge of Resource (manpower, equipment) planning and productivity enhancement techniques
·Knowledge of Construction technology & Management, Codes and Standards, documentation and billing / certification requirements
·Knowledge of Safety and Quality requirements
·Knowledge of project control software like Primavera or MS-Project
·Proficient in use of MS-Office Suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
·Excellent leadership qualities and interpersonal skills
·Commercial Acumen

·B.E. / B Tech in any engineering discipline
·Certification in Project Management will be an added advantage
Professional Experience
Necessary
·Minimum 20+ years Project Management experience.
·Should have led end-to-end execution of all aspects of large Real Estate projects like five-star hotels, retail mall, Convention/ Exhibition Centre's (CECs), airports, other hospitality projects, and commercial complexes.
·Should have handled the commercial aspects of a project.
Desirable
·Post-Graduation in Construction / Business Management is preferred.
·Overseas Experience is desirable
