MAIN DUTIES, KEY RESPONSIBLITIES & RESULTS AREAS

  • The operation & punching of company manufactured components using a CNC Punch press with auto load facility.
  • Checking of all components against approved drawings.
  • Ensuring that the correct number of each component has been produced.
  • Highlighting any deficiencies in the components, such as scratches, dents, miss-punched parts, or incorrect sizing.
  • Operating a forklift truck to load/unload the machine.
  • De-burring of all components in preparation for the next manufacture process.
  • Operation and basic maintenance of task specific de-burring machine.
  • Use of an Amada TOGU surface grinder to keep all punch tooling sharp and serviceable.
  • Reading of technical drawings to identify components.
  • Training of, mentoring, and work scheduling for any employee working within the punch department.
  • Attendance of regular meetings to update company of progress within your department.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role and your skill set.

GENERIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Maintain a high standard of Customer Service and Quality including:

  • Ensure that all work produced is of a high-quality standard and adheres to any quality or Company standards that are in place and or as directed by your immediate Line Manager.
  • Ensure that all services provided are delivered on time, as specified and that your immediate customer is kept informed.
  • Adopt a "Continuous Improvement" approach in everything that you do, making suggestions to your Line Manager.
