Summary of Responsibilities:
  • This role involves contributing to the accounting and finance operations (Procure to Pay) as well as participating in cross-functional initiatives and business launches. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

Success in this position hinges on liaising with varied professionals to elevate the business's performance across a range of tasks as we continue to expand.

  • The candidate must possess a robust background in technical accounting and hands-on experience to analyze the organization's key business needs and devise inventive solutions for enhancing performance and financial reporting. While familiarity with banking and treasury is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
Knowledge & Skills Required:Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and advancing operational excellence in the procure-to-pay process;
  • Ensuring the implementation of internal controls and documentation for processes like vendor payments, disputes, reconciliation, claims management, and returns;
  • Leveraging automation initiatives from operational and accounting perspectives;
  • Supervising the billing processes for returns to vendors and claims to optimize working capital;
  • Supporting internal and statutory audits, financial reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Fostering strong collaborations with various teams including Category, Finance, Technology, and Supply Chain/Ops;
  • Focusing on cost efficiency and cultivating a cost-conscious environment in the organization;
  • Maintaining controls in the procure-to-pay domain to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions;
  • Overseeing the accounting for business transactions and formulating accounting policies and guidelines;
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's accounting policies.
Basic Qualifications:
  • CA/MBA with over 6 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficiency in Excel and handling large volumes of data;
  • Preferable knowledge of SAP;
  • Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks amidst ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with the retail sector, particularly in a complex retail organization or E-commerce setup;
  • Demonstrated capability to generate innovative ideas and solutions;
  • Autonomous work ethic in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
  • Proven track record of thriving in ambiguous situations and meeting tight deadlines;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
