About the role - Brief

The Key account manager (KAM) will primarily collaborate with the Supply Growth team and vendor management. They will be responsible for acquiring more vehicles in existing cities and overseeing the sourcing & management of vendors running our platform operations in each city.

Introduction

The KAM position presents an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in sourcing, negotiation, and analysis in a rapidly expanding environment.

Managing vendors (Heroes) will be a key focus for Uber India in the upcoming years, providing an entry point into this domain.

Key Result Areas
  • Forge partnerships with the city's sourcing vendors to expand the network and onboard new partners to the Uber Platform
  • Offer continuous on-ground feedback to the Operations team regarding important requirements, concerns, and suggestions from vendor Partners
  • Handle contract negotiations to establish a strong working relationship with vendors, ensuring mutual sustainable economics
  • Meet and exceed vendor (Supply Acquisition) goals consistently, typically on a week-on-week basis
  • Collaborate with onboarding teams to ensure a smooth experience for new vendor partners
  • Develop best practices with the city's Supply Growth team to ensure active engagement of vendor partners and driver partners
  • Engage with driver-partners to address their primary concerns and needs
  • Represent Uber's mission, brand, and product in all interactions, promoting the Value Proposition we offer
  • Identify potential leads for vendor onboarding through fieldwork
RequirementsSkill Set/Experience Required
  • Proficiency in English (Written and verbal)
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience in a Sales/Business Development Role, preferably in the B2B sector
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a good grasp of vendor business transactions
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple internal & external stakeholders with meticulous attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and improve continuously, with a proactive attitude towards personal development
  • Passion for Uber, a builder's mindset, and a drive to succeed with a positive outlook
Additional Pointers
  • Immediate readiness for on-ground efforts is required, with a preference to join within a month of the offer
  • Willingness to travel regularly as part of the role's responsibilities
  • The position will be under a Third-Party Payroll, hence contractual in nature
  • Adherence to standard guidelines on Data Privacy and security, as with other roles
