About the Role

As an Export Sales Manager for our cosmetic ingredients manufacturing company, you will lead international sales efforts, driving growth in global markets. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with international clients, and developing strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive export sales strategies to penetrate international markets and achieve sales targets.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential markets, customers, and opportunities for expansion, considering factors such as market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, distributors, and partners to maximize sales opportunities and foster long-term partnerships.
  4. Lead negotiations with clients, distributors, and other stakeholders to secure profitable contracts and agreements.
  5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and effective delivery of products to international markets.
  6. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements, new product development, and market positioning strategies.
  7. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  8. Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and market dynamics affecting international trade, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in export sales management of at least 3 years, preferably in the chemical/pharma industry.
  3. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  4. Job Location – Mumbai (No Remote option)
  5. Highly Proficient in both written and spoken English.
  6. Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market share in international markets.
  7. Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export compliance requirements.
  8. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  9. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  10. Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
