Business Manager – Domestic & Commercial Appliances (ASM)

Business Head of State (Branch Manager)

Location: Bhubaneswar and Balasore

Position Purpose

To drive revenue growth and market expansion by managing a high-performing sales team, strengthening dealer relationships, and ensuring operational excellence across the assigned territory.

Team Structure

Direct Reports:

  • ASE (Area Sales Executive)
  • TSR (Territory Sales Representative) / CSR

Indirect Reports:

  • CSR (Customer Sales Representative)
  • CR (Customer Representative)

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Management

  • Achieve overall and category-wise revenue targets for the assigned geography.
  • Ensure budgeted billing, placement, and sales of focus products (e.g., ACs, industrial appliances).

2. Team & Dealer Management

  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of ASEs, CSRs, and TSRs.
  • Support in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing the sales team.
  • Conduct regular reviews of PJP (Planned Journey Plan) and sales metrics.
  • Implement performance recognition and training interventions.

3. Market Development & Customer Engagement

  • Expand the dealer network and manage key channel partner relationships.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, market visits, networking, and digital platforms.
  • Identify industrial product prospects and drive conversion.
  • Address customer concerns in alignment with IFB's Customer Service Charter.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Ensure field discipline, process compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Analyze sales data and operational reports to track performance and profitability.
  • Execute directives from branch leadership while providing actionable market insights.
  • Support participation in trade exhibitions, brand activations, and visibility campaigns.
  • Ensure stock readiness for demos and on-ground sales.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Total: 5–8 years
  • Relevant: Minimum 5 years in consumer durables or related sectors

Qualification:

  • Graduate (with relevant sales certifications or equivalent experience)
  • MBA preferred (from a reputed institute)
