Job Title: Sales & Operations Manager – Food Trading & Distribution

About the Role

Technology& is hiring on behalf of our client, Alymaan Traders Unipessoal LDA, a Portugal-based company specializing in the trade and distribution of ethnic food products from South Asia, Africa, and the Mediterranean since 2021. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales & Operations Manager to contribute to a fast-growing international business.

We are looking for a professional with a strong background in sales, purchase, accounts, and logistics who can lead teams, build client relationships, and ensure operational excellence. Candidates from Kerala, India who are willing to relocate to Portugal are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate with purchase, finance, and HR departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and retailers in the food import/export industry.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expansion markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and ensure pricing competitiveness.
  • Stay updated on food safety regulations and industry developments.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.
  • Work closely with the CEO to execute market expansion plans.
  • Foster a performance-driven and collaborative operational culture.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in Odoo software/tools relevant to operations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Wholesale import/export experience (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Portuguese, Malayalam or Tamil languages skills are an advantage.

Location & Relocation

  • Candidates based in Kerala, India who are open to relocating to Portugal are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to work from the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (Porto Alto, Samora Correia, Santarém).
