Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Manager/Sr. Manager - Sales & Marketing in the North East region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, project management, and client relationship management, with a focus on both government and private sector projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and drive business opportunities from government and private clients based in the North East region.
- Sales Target Achievement: Responsible for meeting and exceeding the sales targets for the assigned region.
- Payment Collection: Ensure timely collection of payments as per the agreed terms and conditions with clients.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with consultants, government agencies, and other stakeholders for the inclusion of products, technical specifications, and terms in upcoming projects and tenders.
- Client Presentations: Organize and deliver engaging presentations to clients, both on a one-on-one basis and in larger forums.
- Negotiations: Lead negotiations with clients on technical and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate effectively with technical, commercial, and project teams at the Head Office to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit quotes to prospective clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Site Visits & Data Collection: Conduct site visits, gather necessary data, and prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals for clients.
- Reporting: Submit detailed reports on progress and performance on a fortnightly basis.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales & Marketing in the construction/civil engineering industry.
- Expertise in business development, particularly within the North East region.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple teams.
- Hands-on experience with government tenders and private sector projects.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications in civil engineering.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience working in the North East region.
