CarbonCut is a pivotal sustainability initiative by Optiminastic. This project focuses on reducing the environmental impact of marketing and advertising activities. CarbonCut provides businesses with the tools to accurately calculate and offset the carbon emissions generated by overall marketing activities. By integrating sustainability into the heart of marketing efforts, CarbonCut helps businesses reduce their carbon footprints, enabling them to become more eco-friendly while delivering their messages to consumers.

About the Role:

Drive execution of sustainability-focused marketing initiatives across content, social, partnerships, and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute sustainability-led campaigns across social, email, and blog.
  • Translate sustainability insights (SDGs, circularity, carbon footprint) into clear, on-brand content.
  • Own content calendars; coordinate with design, product, and ESG teams.
  • Manage community engagement and basic influencer/partner outreach.
  • Track KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, leads) and deliver weekly reports with recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate, compliant sustainability claims across assets.

Must-Haves:

  • Hardworking and sincere with strong ownership and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and sustainability fundamentals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications/Environmental Studies/Management or related.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Hands-on with digital channels; basic SEO and analytics familiarity (GA4/social dashboards).
  • Proficient with Google Docs/Sheets/Slides; detail-oriented and deadline -driven.

Good to Have:

  • Canva/Adobe Express; basic video editing; schedulers (Buffer/Hootsuite).
  • Experience in an ESG/sustainability-focused project or campaign.
