We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Application Support Engineer to provide advanced support for enterprise applications, data workflows, and compliance-related systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL Server, C-Link, IBM DataStage, Managed File Transfer (MFT), and SQL scripting, along with a foundational understanding of DBA tasks. Experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and Sanctions systems is essential, as this role supports critical compliance applications and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L2/L3 support for business-critical applications, including those related to AML and Sanctions monitoring, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Take ownership of supported applications, acting as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting, enhancements, and stakeholder communication.
- Support and maintain SQL Server environments, including query optimization and basic DBA tasks such as backups and user access.
- Monitor and troubleshoot C-Link integrations and data flows.
- Develop, maintain, and support ETL processes using IBM DataStage.
- Manage and support Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems to ensure secure and reliable data exchange.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data validation.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure AML and Sanctions systems meet regulatory requirements.
- Document support procedures, known issues, and configuration details for knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in application support or related technical roles.
- Strong experience with:
- SQL Server and SQL scripting
- C-Link (data integration and connectivity)
- IBM DataStage (ETL development and support)
- Managed File Transfer (MFT) tools and protocols
- AML and Sanctions systems and workflows
- Basic understanding of DBA tasks such as database backups, user management, and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Understanding of ITIL practices and change management.
- Certification in SQL Server, DataStage, or AML compliance tools is a plus.
