Shiv Nadar School is seeking a Director of Technology to lead and drive the integration of technology across teaching, learning, and administration. The role will focus on achieving
measurable outcomes that enhance student learning, improve operational efficiency, and
ensure seamless technology integration throughout the school.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Technology Leadership: The Director of Technology will develop and implement a multi-year technology strategy that aligns with the school's mission,ensuring that technology is leveraged to enhance educational outcomes and administrative efficiency. This role will involve collaborating closely with senior leadership to prioritize initiatives that support the school's goals, driving meaningful improvements across teaching, learning, and operational processes.
Digital Transformation & Automation: The Director of Technology will lead the digitization of teaching, learning, and administrative processes, focusing on automation to improve efficiency and promote technology that enhances teaching and student performance.
Technology Infrastructure & Operations: The Director of Technology will oversee the development of a reliable and scalable IT infrastructure to support the school's technology needs, ensuring that all systems are secure, dependable, and well-maintained to prevent disruptions in teaching and administration.
Educational Technology Integration: The Director of Technology will collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into classroom activities, offering professional development to ensure teachers effectively use digital tools. Additionally, the role involves continuously assessing the impact of technology on student learning to ensure it enhances educational outcomes.
Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Compliance: The Director of Technology will strengthen cybersecurity measures to protect the school's data, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards. This role also involves providing training for faculty and staff on best practices in cybersecurity to maintain a secure digital environment.
Technology in Administrative Operations: The Director of Technology will lead the adoption of digital tools to enhance administrative efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce time spent on routine tasks, with a focus on improving productivity across various administrative functions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Ensure transparent communication about technology initiatives and their impact on the school community. Foster collaboration and collect feedback from stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring:
Proven experience in technology strategy and transformation with measurable improvements in education or administration.
Expertise in selecting and implementing solutions that address specific challenges and deliver real results.
Strong budget and resource management skills to maximize technology investments.
Excellent communication abilities to effectively explain technology initiatives to diverse stakeholders.
What Success Looks Like in Year One:
Deliver a comprehensive strategy addressing infrastructure, cybersecurity, and teacher training, resulting in fewer technical issues and enhanced system reliability.
Increase technology use in classrooms and demonstrate its impact on student engagement and learning.
Streamline administrative processes and improve productivity across departments and functions
Ensure faculty are proficient in key technology tools, with improvements in teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
Maintain high system uptime and ensure full compliance with cybersecurity standards, protecting school data.
