  • 18+ business experience, ideally in technology management
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience having managed large transformations & enterprise-wide programs effectively
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital transformation & Analytics
  • Experience in innovation, new business models and business transformation
  • 5+ years of proven Change Management experience ie having demonstrated capability of influencing cross-functional teams across the organization and within complex contexts
  • Strategy and management consulting experience desirable
  • Proven experience in building and nurturing high quality & reliable partner ecosystem. Experience in building a high-quality internal team of technologists and product managers

Key Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Digital & IT role for Piramal Glass and a key member of the company's senior management team
  • Works with Vice Chairman, CEO, Business Heads & Function Heads to create an enhanced Technology vision for the enterprise, and to identify the opportunities for differentiated technology capabilities and solutions.
  • Push the bar in technology innovation, imbibing cutting edge technological innovations from global benchmarks and blue-sky thinking to create user-friendly technologies offering great experience to stakeholders (customers, employee etc)
  • Co-create an accelerated Digital and Analytics strategy with rapid implementation of initiatives in partnership with a reputed consulting company.
  • Create synergies between various technology systems thru system integration & process automation to enable end-to-end customer journeys and operational excellence
  • Accelerate & sustain the existing Digital & Analytics initiatives in areas of Smart Manufacturing, Connected Supply Chain, Digital Enterprise and Customer Experience themes
  • Acts as a champion and change agent in accelerating the organizational changes required to create and sustain enterprise technology capabilities.
  • Champions and runs the Digital Champions Program, which is directed towards competency building with a view to grow and retain talent
  • Own the Technology budget of the company, provide upfront estimates of costs under various heads and keep track of spends to ensure the best ROI for the company on its Technology investment – all the while maintaining a balance between frugality / financial discipline and adequately gearing up for the future growth
  • Defines governance mechanism and metrics to review progress on technology projects and business case achievement.
  • Acts as a thought leader on emerging digital business models and technologies, articulating the digital future and the enterprise's role in it internally and externally.
  • Builds an ecosystem of Group Technology Teams, partners, including startups, product vendors to develop and implement technology solutions
  • Focuses on continuous learning and upskilling of entire technology team
  • Partners with the HR function to build Digital talent (Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Translators) in the enterprise thru capability building & change management programs.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Deep understanding of the evolving digital world on both the demand side (how people/companies are using technology) and the supply side (emerging technologies)
  • Extensive knowledge of software engineering, Analytics, Industry 4.0, AI, Cloud & AR/VR, SAP
  • Strong business acumen, including manufacturing-specific knowledge
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking and consulting skills
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively drive people, process and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology concepts and technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists
