Sales & Business Development Manager - Market Research/Primary Research

About the job: This is for the role of a Business Development Manager in the Market Research division at Acuity Knowledge Partners. The ideal sales leader has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing. The incumbent will be responsible for securing definitive/target-based revenue and expanding the current client portfolio of the division by: Develop, execute, and oversee a new business development strategy that prioritizes growth. Track, monitor, and report progress periodically, aligning to the business goals and targets. Hunt and close deals as per strategies set out, along with a team of business development professionals. Key Responsibilities: Managing a robust pipeline and accurately forecasting new business, revenues, and sales cycles Conduct high-level industry research and develop effective sales solutions by actively reaching out to the decision makers. Drive and develop revenue opportunities through digital sales, event sponsorships, and customized roundtable events. Participate in collaborative business meetings and close deals. Promote company’s services to the prospective clients. Stay abreast of industry trends and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the products/services offered. Build and cultivate strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term satisfaction. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Owning and achieving annual sales targets. Key Competencies: MBA or equivalent with a proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or surpassing targets. Having 5+ years of experience in Market Research or KPO selling end-to-end Market Research /Survey solutions, Data Processing etc. Experience in hunting opportunities and close deals. Experience in driving customer relationships and growing client accounts. Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with very strong networking and negotiation skills. Experience influencing and collaborating with executive stakeholders in a matrixed organization. Ability to succeed in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment with limited direction.
