Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Mentor to support aspirants preparing for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination. The ideal candidate will serve as a guide, motivator, and academic support system for students, helping them design personalized study plans, monitor progress, and address academic challenges throughout their UPSC preparation journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Mentoring:
  • Conduct 1:1 or group mentoring sessions with UPSC aspirants.
  • Provide academic guidance, motivation, and morale support throughout the preparation cycle.
  • Help aspirants assess their strengths and weaknesses and create tailored study strategies.
  • Study Planning:
  • Design and monitor individual study plans based on exam patterns, syllabus, and student progress.
  • Assist in time management and subject prioritization.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Track students' progress through regular assessments and mock tests.
  • Analyze test results and recommend targeted improvements.
  • Doubt Resolution:
  • Address student doubts related to syllabus, concepts, and preparation strategies.
  • Coordinate with faculty for subject-specific issues if needed.
  • Content Review & Curation:
  • Provide feedback on content quality (mock tests, notes, etc.).
  • Suggest improvements based on student performance and feedback.
  • Motivational Support:
  • Encourage students to stay focused, manage stress, and maintain consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred); background in humanities, political science, history, public administration, etc., is a plus.
  • Cleared UPSC prelims/mains or mentored UPSC aspirants is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of UPSC syllabus, pattern, and evolving trends.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience and empathy to deal with student challenges.
  • Analytical mindset for performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with online tools and learning platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior mentoring or teaching experience in UPSC or competitive exams domain.
  • Fluency in both English and Hindi (or regional language depending on location).
  • Experience with ed-tech platforms is an added advantage.
