JOB OVERVIEW

The Product Director for South Asia and MENA is responsible for the product growth strategy across Study Group's markets in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Middle East/North Africa region. This role involves identifying market opportunities for new products and services, defining and validating potential solutions, and collaborating with our global teams to bring these products to market. The Product Director works closely with members of the Global Senior Leadership Team, particularly the local partner development and sales teams responsible for sourcing partners and students, as well as the wider global Product Development team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Strategic Translate student, partner and parent needs (and market sizing) at a deep level, segment markets effectively into product propositions Define products clearly, including playbooks for success, and understand our 'right to play' in solving customer challenges with these products Define and refine the product roadmap that achieves our growth objectives, working closely with the partnerships team to incorporate partner strategy and include both new launches and individual partner rollouts. Validate market opportunities either through test/learn initiatives, or through controlled launches to market with clearly defined objectives Identify key capability gaps at Study Group needed to ensure success, and ensure teams work to fill gaps as needed.  Product/Operational Lead on the development and execution of new offshore, source-market learning products, working closely with the local and UK delivery teams to execute successfully Track KPIs associated with delivery and ensure that the executed products meet requirements, and if they don't hit KPIs, identify strategy needed (build/maintain/retire etc) Ensure expectations are clearly set with students, partners and internally throughout the product development process Liaise with UK teams to ensure requirements for success (articulations, entry requirements etc) are clearly articulated and expectations are clearly set (and met) with potential delivery partners Hold mobilisation teams to account for delivery, ensuring that the product vision/objectives are clearly stated and achieved Support and manage stakeholders and team to achieve the above, ensuring open, clear communication at all levels. Partnership/ Product Development   Work with local partners, in conjunction with partner development team, to fully understand their capabilities and opportunities Support partner development team in building key relationships and providing insight and proposals to partners Support partner development team in bringing new opportunities to gating, defining proposed product propositions clearly in gate proposals and ensuring key assumptions and dependencies have been captured and communicated Motivate and energise others through positive reinforcement and by acting as an inspirational role model Foster a positive and collaborative working environment The role is highly cross-functional and critical to the realisation of our company goals and strategy ABOUT YOU Excellent communication skills. A track record of working successfully in a matrix environment. Experience of international education Experience with using a product management methodology and implementing it across an organization. Experience building and delivering digital (and, ideally, blended) programmes at scale. Credibility with stakeholders – both internally and externally (e.g. University Partners). International experience and an international outlook.  Ability to travel globally. Experience working on large-scale tenders and partnerships. Knowledge of digital/ e-Learning platforms and methodologies. Understanding of the international pathway/student market. Understanding of higher education and university ways of working.
