Position: Procurement Executive

Department: Procurement

Location: Peeragarhi,New Delhi

Reports To: Procurement Manager

Role Overview

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for local sourcing, purchasing, and managing vendors for materials, components, and services required in the Electric Vehicle (2-wheeler) industry. The role ensures timely availability of quality parts such as EV batteries, motors, controllers, chargers, chassis components, and accessories, at competitive costs, while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Someone well versed with vendor development in High Speed Electric vehicles with the ability to travel is a must.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

· Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for EV components and raw materials.

· Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.

· Ensure timely procurement to support production schedules and service requirements.

1. Vendor Management

· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.

· Monitor vendor performance (quality, delivery timelines, compliance).

· Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities as per company and industry standards.

1. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

· Work closely with production, R&D, and service teams to forecast material requirements.

· Maintain optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

· Coordinate logistics for timely deliveries from domestic and international suppliers.

1. Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.

· Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate procurement records.

· Handle import/export documentation for EV parts and equipment.

1. Cost & Quality Optimization

· Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.

· Work with Quality Assurance to ensure procured items meet specifications.

· Contribute to localization of components to reduce costs and import dependency.

Qualifications & Skills Required

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA

· Experience: 2–5 years in procurement, preferably in automobile or electric vehicle industry.

· Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

· Knowledge of EV components (battery, motor, controller, charger, etc.) is preferred.

· Advance proficiency in MS-Excel

· Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced EV ecosystem.

Salary Range (Indicative)

₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (depending on experience & company size).
