The Job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers, distributors, and channel partners in Bangalore and other key regions.
- Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth for Thomas & Betts products.
- Generate leads, conduct cold calls, and follow up on inquiries to convert potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, electrical contractors, panel builders, and industries using cable management solutions.
2. Technical Consultation & Product Support
- Provide technical expertise and recommend suitable products based on customer needs.
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for clients.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical components to advise customers effectively.
3. Customer Relationship Management
- Address customer inquiries, provide pre-sales and post-sales support, and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain regular interaction with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and project managers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
4. Coordination & Order Management
- Work closely with internal teams for pricing, quotations, order processing, and delivery coordination.
- Ensure timely follow-ups on quotations, tenders, and project bids.
- Track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
5. Travel & Market Expansion
- Travel within the assigned territory (Bangalore and nearby regions) to visit customers, attend meetings, and participate in trade shows.
- Explore new business opportunities and expand the company presence in untapped markets.
6. Reporting & Strategy Contribution
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, competitor activities, and market insights.
- Contribute to sales strategies by identifying potential growth areas and customer needs.
- Suggest improvements for marketing initiatives, pricing strategies, and product positioning.
The Profile
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: [Specify Required Years, e.g., 2-5 years] in sales of electrical/electronic components.
- Skills: Strong communication, technical sales, and relationship-building skills.
