The role
Temporary Employee Relations Specialist
This role is a 3 months’ role in our APAC HR (People) team to work closely with with the People Business Partners, the People Operations teams in GEO, as well as with the global Employee Relations teams, servicing the business leaders and team members in the APAC geography. While the focus will be on the go to market organisation, you will be asked to support other parts of the business equally.
This position reports to the global head of people for go-to-market.
Focus Areas
- Performance Assessments and 9-Box*:- Partner with sales leaders in the APAC geography to drive performance assessments and 9-box talent reviews following Q1.- Track and monitor resulting actions for underperforming and overperforming employees.- Recommend and, as needed, organise, follow up activities to drive performance.- Employee Handbooks:- Expedite the development and implementation of employee handbooks for Singapore and Taiwan, aiming to complete ahead of the original Q3 deadline if possible.- Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs):- Manage and oversee Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) in assigned countries.- Additional Employee Relations and People Policy Work:- Playing the role of subject matter expert on the full range of employee relations from ill health, performance management and conduct situations and act as case manager on such cases.- partnering with business leaders in exiting individuals - including liaising with external legal counsel as required- driving ER related investigations and handling interviews & reporting back to stakeholders- Provide support for other policy-related projects as assigned by the Employee Relations team.
Required Experience & Skills
- Human Resources or Employee Relations background.- Experience in performance management and talent reviews.- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to collaborate effectively with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders.- Knowledge of APAC countries’ employment laws and regulations is a plus.

*Early Q2 Project: Driving Performance & Growth in APAC
We're gearing up for a company-wide initiative focused on performance management and talent development within our APAC region (approximately 149 employees). This project kicks off in early Q2 (February) and you'll play a key role in driving its success.
What you'll be doing:
- Partnering with (a subset of the ) 23 people leaders across the APAC region to guide them through performance assessments and 9-box talent reviews for their teams. This involves providing training, facilitating discussions, and ensuring a smooth and consistent process.- Driving action: You'll work closely with managers to develop clear action plans for employees, with a focus on both performance improvement and development opportunities for high-potential individuals.- Tracking progress: You'll establish a system to monitor the effectiveness of these action plans and provide regular updates to HR leadership.
