Global Financial Controller

We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our team as Global Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Develop and execute global financial strategies to drive organizational growth and profitability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage financial covenants and KPIs as prescribed by lenders and investors.

Statutory Audit:

  • Manage audit for multi-geographical entities in a time-bound manner.
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure arm's length inter-company transactions.

Budget Management:

  • Lead the budgeting process, working with department heads across geographies to create and manage the annual budget.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide insights for cost control and revenue optimization.
  • Develop and maintain robust forecasting models to support business planning and decision-making.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring that the organization can meet its financial obligations and make strategic investments.
  • Implement cash management policies and strategies.
  • Manage Accounts Receivables, Payables and Inventory.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and risk management strategies.
  • Develop risk management strategies and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international financial regulations and standards.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee accounting, financial systems, and financial operations.
  • Manage Direct and Indirect taxes.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • Manage ECB and RBI related compliances and filing.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team across multiple geographic locations, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide professional development opportunities to build a high-performing finance department.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive integrated financial solutions and support business initiatives.
  • Interact closely with financial consultants, auditors (Big4) and government agencies.

Internal Audit and Financial Controls:

  • Develop/review, implement and enforce financial policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Conduct regular Internal audit with a view to improving internal controls and adherence to policies and processes.

Financial Technology and Systems:

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in finance and recommend and implement systems improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Fund Raise:

  • Assist Global CFO in various fund raise activities like due diligence, financial queries etc.
  • Develop and manage relationships with various Banks/financial institutions to arrange on and off-balance sheet financing.

Business Restructuring:

  • Planning and implementing restructuring of businesses through slump sale, merger and demerger.

Experience & Skill Set:

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree + Chartered Accountant / CPA or equivalent international degree. Extensive experience of at least 15 years in finance, with a strong track record of financial leadership in progressively responsible roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of corporate financial law.
  • Knowledge of Direct & Indirect Tax and prevailing accounting standards.
  • Knowledge of Indian GAAP/IndAS, IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Hands-on experience of risk management.
  • Able to handle large data files and consolidate multi-currency financials for multi-geography entities.
  • Creating robust risk management processes for a fast-growing business.
  • Creating and managing Dashboard reporting for multiple business units in different countries.
  • Experience in reporting comprehensive financials to investors.
  • Experience of working with the big accounting firms preferred.
  • Experience in utility/power sector, telecom or oil and gas sector preferred.
