We’re seeking afuture team member for the role of Vice President, Technology RiskManagement to join our TRM team. This role is located inPune, MH /Chennai- TN -Hybrid.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in thefollowing ways:
- Provide oversight and challenge across the 1st Line ofdefense and assess Cyber risks.
- TRM is asecond line of defense (2LOD) function, reporting to theChief Risk Officer of BNY, that provides oversight and challenge tothe company’s Technology organization and related Line ofbusinesses . The goal of TRM is to make sure that technology, cyber/ information security, resiliency, data and technology third partyrisks are clearly understood by the first line of defense (1LOD),transparently reported through governance and managed within thedefined risk appetite and risk management framework.
- Act as a thought leader and apply understanding of cybersecurity controls and weaknesses to anticipate technology risksinherent to the assigned areas of technology.
- Leads the assessment, monitoring and reporting ontechnology risks inherent to business activities, including cyberand technology risk concepts.
- When needed,extend support to team members on different types of riskassessments and metrics oversight in Cyber space.
- Prepare or participate in the preparation of executivelevel reports for regulators and senior stakeholders
- Applies influence to ensure the availability oftechnology risk input requirements, to build consensus on riskmitigation and remediation strategies among global and/or regionalstakeholder groups.
- No direct reports, provideguidance to more junior team members and assigns tasks, asneeded.
To besuccessful in this role, we’re seeking thefollowing:
- Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination ofeducation and experience is required.
- 9+ yearsof work experience required, in the financial services industry isa plus.
- Experience in supporting or working onregulatory engagements preferred
- Technicalunderstanding of Cyber Security related domains
- Prior experience in Cyber / Information Security &Technology Risk is preferred. Relevant industry certification is aplus. (AWS/Azure/GCP, CCSA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, CISA,etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in running riskassessments and reporting processes, understanding what isappropriate and aligns with Technology Risk and ability to drivebest practices into the wider organization
- Strong communication skills to articulate risk relatedtopics clearly across stakeholders.
- Ability totake ownership of projects and drive them forward in acollaborative manner.

BNY assesses marketdata to ensure a competitive compensation package for ouremployees. The base salary if hired will be determined on anindividualized basis, including as to experience and marketlocation, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package,which, depending on the position, may also include commissionearnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentivepackages, and Company-sponsored benefitprograms.
