The position will support and work with the LLE Mumbai & Gurgaon team to prepare MICE proposals and support the department to build MICE proposals as per operating standards. Negotiation, time management and the ability to multitask various projects at the same time is a must. Candidates should be self-starters, methodical in process management and innovative thought leaders with a passion to deliver high standards. Responsibilities: Sales SupportMaintain MICE generating accounts through various sales activities (face to face sales calls, telephone calls, sight inspections, entertainment) jointly with Accounts ManagerReceive RFP’s/Queries and follow MICE proposal templates and deliver to client in timely manner. Follow direction from the Regional Team on the brief details and client requirementsMeet annual sales, profit and conversion targets along with business leadShare contacts of clients wherever known who can be potential clients for LLE Research, Development and Benchmarking of MICE products Carry out comprehensive research for new and existing products that can be adapted for MICE marketResearch and compile new proposed packages and teambuilding options, and work in conjunction with the respective team to develop great experiences for the clientWork towards procurement requirements by building a preferred list of MICE hotels, Venues, MICE related DMC’s & suppliers & airline consolidators.Lead the creation of tour ‘story’ with guides, to ensure new product is scripted correctly.Competitor analysis and benchmarkingEnsure comprehensive and up to date knowledge of properties unique selling points, features, amenities, services and policies System ManagementDaily update on ‘things to do’ and ‘projects in hand’ to the MICE head and branch headEnsure new products & proposals are made, accurately and within guide-lines set by Team Lead.Work with CS team members throughout the group to update with new and adapted MICE product.Coordinate with purchasing / branch managers for correct data uploadingManage the templates and ensure the correspondence with MICE department brand guidelinesConstantly work towards betterment of the systems and templates for efficient team training and making great client proposalsMaintain and update the list of hotels, DMC, vehicle service providers, airlines consolidators, tourism boards & catering details all related to MICE - as per company standards Event logistics Work in collaboration with the local and destination operational teams to ensure clear operational plans as per itinerary promised to the clientCreate guidelines, manuals and scripts for all operational staff in support of MICE eventsMonitor performance of hotels and suppliers in assigned destinations and report back to Regional MICE Manager on any actions neededAlways be ‘smiling’ under pressure situations and ensure that the deliverables are completed as promised by the clientSupport the team by working with the admin personnel on large events with the logistics requirements viz; ticket bookings, visa issuance process, hotel bookings.Communicate the final details of all confirmed bookings to the Sales Manager - MICE for the contract to be prepared and obtain client’s approval on booking contract in a prompt wayObtain client feedback after each event verbally and through ‘Thank You’ letter and ‘Guest Questionnaire’ and communicate the outcome to the concernedFollow up on issues from previous walkarounds so that the same issues are not repeatedEnsure that all work during the event is performed safely. Skills 1. Initiate client connect and build relationship with the client2. Excellent negotiation skills with both client and partners3. Creative and able to present MICE proposals more differently to build in excitement with the clients. Must be proficient using technology and working with Microsoft software applications. Qualification & Experience Graduction / Master 1. Minimum 10 - 12 years’ experience in MICE within the industry 2. Personal and professional travel experience is an asset 3. Knowledge of hotels brands and destinations in the portfolio
