Sr Support Engineer

Job Description:We are looking for a Java + AWS DevOps Support Engineer with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in both development and support roles. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AWS services, Java development, and DevOps support activities. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment supporting production systems, deployments, and troubleshooting.Key Responsibilities:•Provide DevOps and production support for applications hosted on AWS.•Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner to ensure system reliability and performance.•Develop and maintain scripts and automation for deployment, monitoring, and system health checks.•Collaborate with development teams to support Java-based applications.•Monitor systems using AWS CloudWatch and proactively identify potential issues.•Perform regular health checks, patching, and maintenance tasks.•Participate in rotational shifts to support 24x7 operations.•Take ownership of assigned tasks and drive them to resolution.Technical Skills Required:•Strong knowledge of Java and hands-on experience with Java coding.•Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps/support roles.•Working experience with key AWS services, including but not limited to:o S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda, EBS, Oracle databases, SSM, CloudWatcho Networking, Firewalls, Connectivity & Storage•Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools.•Good understanding of infrastructure management on cloud platforms.•Basic knowledge of shell scripting or automation scripting is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:•Experience in the financial services domain is an added advantage.•Strong communication skills – written and verbal.•Demonstrated ownership and accountability in previous roles.•Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed team environment.Additional Details:•Work Mode: 100% Remote•Shifts: Rotational (Must be flexible with shift timings)•Notice Period: Immediate or as per notice period
