Job Description:


· Change Management: Performing routine to complex Network & configuration changes which include Device Integration, replacement, IOS upgrades, MOP creation, executing and planning. Must have experience on Cisco NCS/XR and Nexus platform.

·Fault Management: Resolution of IP Mobile backhaul, Fronthaul and Midhaul failure Ensure resolution of IP Network failures

Analysis and recommendation for preventive/corrective actions

· Traffic Rerouting and solving throughput performance issues Traffic rerouting to ensure service are restored in case of network failure

Solving Mobile throughput and other performance incidents

A. Co ordination with planning, engineering, NOC and field teams for identifying the root cause and solution

Working with OEMs TAC to establish RCA and corrective a

Mandatory Skills

✔ Strong expertise in IP/MPLS Troubleshooting / Network Operations

✔ Hands-on experience with Cisco NCS/XR and Nexus platform.

✔ Solid knowledge of IOS upgrades, MOP creation, executing and planning

✔ Experience with Performing routine to complex Network

1. Change Management (Cisco NCS/XR and Nexus platforms)


  • Can you walk me through a recent configuration change you performed on a Cisco NCS or XR platform?
  • Have you created and executed a Method of Procedure (MOP)? What are the key elements you include?
  • What are the main differences you've observed between Cisco Nexus and XR platforms when planning IOS upgrades?
  • How do you ensure minimal downtime during IOS upgrades or device replacements?

2. Fault Management (IP Mobile Backhaul/Fronthaul/Midhaul)


  • Describe a time you resolved a major fault in the IP mobile backhaul network. What was the root cause?
  • What tools or methods do you use to proactively identify issues in Fronthaul/Midhaul networks?
  • How do you balance urgency and accuracy during high-impact outages?

3. Traffic Rerouting & Performance Issues


  • How do you approach traffic rerouting in case of a core link failure?
  • What performance metrics do you monitor for throughput issues in mobile networks?
  • Can you describe a case where you resolved a major throughput degradation?

4. Cross-functional Coordination & RCA


  • How do you coordinate across teams during a critical incident?
  • Tell me about a time when you had to escalate a case to the OEM TAC. What was the outcome?
  • How do you document and communicate root cause and corrective actions post-incident?
