US Payroll Specialist

About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced US Payroll Specialist to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of US payroll for our employees. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of US payroll laws and regulations, excellent communication skills, and experience with payroll software.Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly US payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees.Ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes.Maintain employee payroll records and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.Assist with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and distribution.Prepare and file various government reports, including 941, 940, etc.Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.Assist with audits and special projects as needed.Stay current on all applicable payroll laws and regulations.Work collaboratively with other members of the HR and Finance teams.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.2+ years of experience processing US payroll.Strong knowledge of US payroll laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, and ERISA.Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or Workday is required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
