We're Hiring | Manager – GIS Projects

Location: Noida | Experience: 6+ Years | Education: Master's in GIS / Remote Sensing

BetterDrones is looking for an experienced Manager – GIS Projects to lead our geospatial initiatives across drone-based mapping, utilities, and urban infrastructure. This is a leadership role requiring deep technical knowledge, project management capability, and experience in drone-based GIS project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of GIS projects using drone data – from planning, data management, processing, analysis and QC to final delivery.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary GIS team across multiple projects
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met
  • Oversee data processing, spatial analysis, and map generation using leading GIS and CAD software
  • Prepare project plans, documentation, and reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure implementation of best practices in data quality, team workflow, and project delivery

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, or Geoinformatics
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in GIS project execution
  • Hands-on experience in drone-based mapping projects, from planning to delivery
  • Strong team leadership and project management experience
  • Excellent communication, client-handling, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and related software tools

Preferred Experience (Added Advantage):

  • Prior work in the utility sector (Power, Water, etc.)
  • Experience managing urban GIS projects and large-scale infrastructure mapping
  • Familiarity with integrating drone outputs into enterprise GIS platforms
