Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Engineer to support GIS-based infrastructure and utility projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAD drafting and geospatial integration, working closely with GIS analysts, survey teams, and project managers to deliver accurate and timely mapping outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and update CAD drawings based on field survey data, GIS layers, and engineering inputs.

2. Integrate AutoCAD with GIS tools (such as ArcGIS or QGIS) for mapping, spatial analysis, and utility layout planning.

3. Generate base maps, alignment sheets, plan & profile drawings, cross-sections, and topographical maps.

4. Maintain drawing standards, layer management, symbology, and coordinate systems aligned with project guidelines.

5. Collaborate with GIS teams to support spatial data visualization and ensure alignment between CAD and GIS deliverables.

6. Review and validate technical drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to engineering specifications.

7. Assist in preparing reports, drawing logs, and documentation for project submissions.

Requirements:

1. Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related technical discipline.

2. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D); knowledge of AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D is a plus.

3. Basic understanding of GIS concepts; familiarity with ArcGIS/QGIS is desirable.

4. Experience with utility mapping, route alignment, land acquisition maps, or powerline/road/railway projects preferred.

5. Ability to interpret survey data, technical drawings, and topographic information.

6. Strong attention to detail and spatial accuracy.

7. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
