Job Description

The Smart Connected Systems and Solutions (SCSS) is part of IGT Fixed Systems Control Room Cluster and owns the service and service solutions R&D across the IGT Fixed Systems products. SCSS enables the IGT Fixed Systems S&SD organization drive their NorthStar roadmap of proactive, predictive, and prescriptive maintenance by building smart connected labs to provide end-to-end connectivity and enable customer value of seamless & efficient operation of our products.

In this role, you will be part of the leadership team of Smart Connected Systems and Solutions (SCSS) of IGT Systems. You will be leading a team of high performing product development professionals working on multiple product lines of IGT Fixed Systems.

In this role, you are responsible for:

  • Leading a software team throughout the development process in support of product releases that meet customer needs, cost goals, quality goals, and schedule constraints.

  • Develop skills and improve performance of engineers in the team. Ensure good communication within the team and between other engineering teams and other functional areas.

  • Ensure communication is occurring both within the team as well as with other engineering teams and other functional areas.

  • Perform various management tasks including budgeting, performance appraisal, salary administration, hiring, and employee coaching and performance management.

  • Take project management responsibility for project releases to support our product roadmap.

  • Lead cooperative efforts among members of a project team or participate on a cross functional team.

  • Coordinate efforts with other areas of the IGT business, including other functional contribution; or participate in and contribute to Philips-wide or cross-business product development initiatives.

  • Execute on the organizationâs strategy, providing clearly defined success criteria and levels of accountability for individuals in the team. Remove impediments for the progress of the teams and act as escalation point.

  • Manage the needed capabilities whilst developing and maintaining a long-term view on the required competences and knowledge.

  • Execute on continuous improvement in processes and ways of working to achieve operational excellence.

  • Influence and participate in the development of product and technology roadmaps and annual budgets, as well as deliver on project and budgetary commitments.

  • Drive and support a culture of cross-functional teamwork and disciplined project structure and execution to achieve broader business goals.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelorâs or masterâs degree in computer scient engineering

  • Overall 16+ years of industry experience

  • 8+ years software development experience

  • Experience of 2+ years as a SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) for an enterprise Release Train (ART) with thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and metrics

  • Track record of demonstrated people and process management skills (at least 5 yearsâ experience)

  • Experience with IGT and/or medical device service is an added advantage

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work across time-zones and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong experience with Agile Lifecycle Management Tools (TFS, ADS etc.)

  • Persuades and facilitates rather than using authority. Creates an environment of mutual influence.

  • Encourages and supports the personal development of each individual and the development of teams

  • Global travel as required.
