JOB PURPOSE
The role is the Legal entity controller for two Sabic entities in India with following key deliverables:
- To be the finance business partner to the leadership teams in the legal entities
- To provide governance and controllership assurance to the business
- To be the focal person of finance in front of internal governance bodies and external authorities and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Contribution:

- Provide governance and controllership assurance to business in Legal Entities to ensure SABIC economic interest protected, financial reporting standards and SABIC/local compliance requirement followed.
- Being the representative of Finance to the region and in the respective legal entities, lead and coordinate all finance teams to form one finance view to business.
- Governance and Controllership
-
- Lead the internal control and global/statutory finance compliance process in the legal entities and the management of finance risks to the leadership of the legal entities.
- Understand the complex regulatory landscape in India, take the lead to ensure the regulatory compliance of business in the two legal entities and translate the regulatory requirement.
- Legal Entity Business Partnering
-
- Represent Finance to the Stakeholders and provide necessary finance business partnering support.
- Provide financial advisory to the leadership for the legal entity business operation.
- Accommodate complementary structure to EPM and liaise with legal entity management, analyze and track legal entity performance.
- Financial Closing and Reporting\

- Lead the process to provide quality assurance for the financials of the entities in scope.
- Lead the process to ensure on-time and high-quality group and statutory financial reporting, including external auditors' verification.

- Monitor the financial operation and closing process and provide necessary advice and support.
- Lead the APAC coordination work in the focus domain assigned (e.g. capital spending and fixed assets).
- Finance Projects:

- Lead and Support global corporate finance projects at legal entity level.
- Lead or Participate controllership enhancement projects in India.
- Finance Representative and Stakeholder management

- Represent Finance at legal entity level for external authorities and stakeholders and maintain healthy relationship.
- Represent Corporate Finance at legal entity level for internal cross-function teams.
- Be the controllership gatekeeper and perform required legal entity finance authority activities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years working experience in Finance and Accounting including general ledger closing and legal entity reporting.
- Chartered Accountant is a must.
- Broad and excellent knowledge of fiscal administration/accounting requirements (IFRS)
- Experiences of working with Big 4/large CA firms is a plus.
- All around knowledge in Finance domain including controllership, financial analysis, tax, treasury, statutory compliance, internal control, accounting and reporting, auditing, finance operation etc.
- Strong ambition and capability to support business development.
- Solid knowledge and insight to business operation
- Excellent skills in communication, influencing and stakeholder management.
- Strong ability to work in global virtual team, especially with cross-region stakeholders in Finance team.
