The Credit Manager contributes to the strategic targets of the Credit Department, namely to protect Agfa’s profit and equity against financial risks such as credit- and country risk and to optimize the working capital embedded in trade receivables.    Succeeding in the role will be based on accurate credit risk analysis, appropriate risk mitigation actions, to the point financial structuration of deals and partnership with business organisation while ensuring full compliance to our policies and procedures.    Seeking and driving continuous improvement will be as well a key aspect of the role.

4. JOB DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Continuous support/guidance of Sales, Controlling and interaction with Collections (internal and external) in case of credit related requests.  Foster teamwork & collaboration,
  • Build and develop relationships internally and externally,
  • Customer on-line meetings to achieve detailed knowledge of and network to these accounts to manage and mitigate risk,
  • Review & Analysis on the basis of all relevant information (financial, business, data reports, …) of customers to define new or increased credit limits, set-up repayment plans and release blocked orders according to policy & procedures with a personal authorization limit,
  • Permanent monitoring of credit accounts and take necessary action in case the financial situation deteriorates to prevent losses,
  • Drive the implementation of policies, procedures and processes across the region,
  • Identify issues & bottlenecks and make proposals to the GCM on how to solve them,
  • Act as a catalyst of change and stimulates others to change,
  • Derive analysis and leverage from management reporting specific to Credit as defined in the C&C policy,
  • Maintenance of customer master files, related records and credit activities within SAP and internal storage tools,
  • Internal and external audit support for Credit,
  • Business supportive analysis of monthly Working Capital reporting and yearly working capital budget process,
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects (e.g . Implementation Risk Management Platform, …) and drive and support the corresponding changes and transition around these projects.

EDUCATION

Masters Degree in Economics or Financial Sciences.

 

EXPERIENCE

Min 5 years in credit management or relevant domains.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

(core competencies, key specialities, technical, human relations or managerial skills, and knowledge areas necessary)

Languages: Fluent English is prerequisite, additional language knowledge is an asset.

IT-knowledge:

  • MS Office Tools
  • SAP (FI-CO/SD-MM) is an asset
