Job Purpose:

Drive Human Resource & Industrial Relations Strategy & Plan in the Business Unit in line with overall business objectives and ensure smooth business operations in all the plants from people processes perspective. Develop and deploy overall HR & IR Strategy to support various Business priorities. Be a strategic partner & maintain trusting relationships with all Business Unit leaders in the site for all HR / IR / Amin matters.


Performance Management

  • Drive the performance appraisal process.
  • Conduct session for individuals and supervisors to develop performance culture.
  • Manage communication and follow-ups.
  • Bell Curve, Merit process for all employees.


Talent Management

  • Own and deploy Talent Management framework, identification of HiPOTs, IDPs etc.
  • Maintain and ensure retention of talent.
  • Meet platform & group leaders periodically to understand their expectations related to HR and provide appropriate solutions.


Contract Labor Management, Audit and Compliance

  • Ensure continuous availability of Contract Labor and manage their life cycle with NIL disturbances for operations.
  • Support to provide data, reports, and answer queries from auditors.
  • Audit new joinee files and HRMS database.
  • Ensure compliance to all labor laws like Factories Act, CLRA, Industrial Disputes Act, MRTU PULP Act etc.


Industrial Relations

  • Design and deliver the industrial relations strategy with the key focus on maintaining Trade Union relationships.
  • Own and develop the relationships with senior officials of Trade Unions.
  • Play key role in negotiations with Trade Unions on a wide range of company issues.
  • Design and development of ER policy, processes and tools to deliver required changes at all levels of the organization.
  • Set direction, create policy and offer expert advice in all matters related to bargaining and industrial relations issues.
  • Partner across functions to develop pay and other negotiating mandates for use across al bargaining groups.
  • Build IR skills and expertise across the HR department, including capabilities in labor legislations.
  • Handle labor disputes and liaisoning with the government.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in HR roles in manufacturing setups and should have a strong experience of partnering with Business to deliver Business objectives.
  • Full time MBA or MSW/MLS in Human resources or related field from reputed institute.
