Business Development - Freight Advisor / Broker:


Freshers or Experienced both can apply.


Position Overview:

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team. The Freight Advisor / Broker will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, negotiating rates with carriers, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to meeting deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.

Candidate should demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and possess proficiency in English.


Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition: Engage in outbound sales calls to build and expand a portfolio of customers for freight services.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitors to provide valuable insights and identify potential opportunities.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate rates with carriers and shippers to secure the best deals for both parties.
  • Documentation: Handle and manage the necessary paperwork and documentation associated with freight transactions.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the transportation process to ensure smooth operations.


Requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners.
  • Sales Experience: Prior experience in making sales calls and a proven track record of achieving sales targets is highly desirable.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and understand the logistics industry, even if you do not have prior experience in this field.
  • Negotiation Skills: Adept at negotiating and closing deals to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and logistics, to streamline processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, rates, and client interactions using company software or systems.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Continuously strive to achieve personal and team goals, while contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.

Salary:


For Fresher’s: Starting from INR 20,000 to INR 30,000 per month depending on experience and skills. Additional incentives (commissions) are provided based on the performance.


For Experienced Brokers: Salary is negotiable with no upper limit for candidates with a substantial and proven book of business.
