The IGE M&A team sits as the strategic thinktank of the shareholders/group for various acquisition and investment management initiatives.
Purpose:
She/he will be an integral part of the M&A team, closely involved in driving various aspects of mergers & acquisitions projects across diverse sectors
Job Responsibilities:
Idea Generation
- Help identifying new opportunities by keeping abreast of sector opportunities and developments through in-depth research and network with market participants
Opportunity Evaluation, Project Management and Execution
- As part of a high performance M&A team, will spearhead financial modelling and valuation, take ownership of due diligence support across functional areas (business/technical/commercial aspects, legal, financial, tax, HR etc.) and post deal activities
- Support detailed assessment of opportunities and support initial due-diligence to prepare analysis, business case presentations to management
- Collaborate with project teams for structuring and executing a wide range of complex strategic transactions (international and domestic) including acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, spin-offs, carve-outs, acquisition financings etc.
- Prepare business models, due diligence reports summaries, transaction status reports, financial and valuation analysis including benchmarking competition, etc. for senior management and executive reporting
Personal Attributes:
- Outstanding academic track-record and professional experience, ideally in a matrix organization
- Knowledge of M&A process and previous deal experience
- Track record of working in cross-functional teams with a proactive approach
- High level of expertise with financial analysis & valuations
- Strong desire to learn with a high level of work commitment and ability to efficiently multi-task
- Passion for in-depth research and analysis to draw logical conclusions with high level of attention to detail
- Tactical thinking and highly inquisitive mindset
- Ability to multi-task and work on tight deadlines depending on the process requirements of strategic transactions
- Flexibility to travel (including overseas travel)
- Strong and articulate communication, interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel and storyboarding, presentation skills
- Excellent team player
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualification required: CA / MBA with one of the top institutes
- 2 - 3 years of work experience
- Candidates with experience from big four accounting firms / leading professional advisory firms / boutique IBs will be preferred
- Corporate M&A, development and strategy professionals also encouraged to apply
- Technology, Travel & Hospitality, Real Estate sector is a plus
