Key Responsibilities


·        Server Management & Monitoring: Oversee the server infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.

·        Database Management: Write, optimize, and execute SQL queries for efficient data retrieval, updates, and overall database management.

·        Data Security & Backup: Implement robust data backup and recovery protocols to safeguard sensitive information.

·        Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve server-side issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous service.

·        Capacity Planning & Scaling: Engage in capacity planning, performance tuning, and system scaling to support organizational growth.

·        Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in server security, maintenance, and operational procedures.

Infrastructure Maintenance: Implement and maintain standard operating procedures for infrastructure upkeep, including hardening of servers and configuration of load balancers and firewalls.


Qualifications


·        Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in server-side management.

·        SQL Proficiency: Strong command of SQL querying for data management, analysis, and troubleshooting; hands-on experience with MySQL database management is required.

·        Server Environments: Solid understanding of Linux/Unix server configurations, with experience managing Ubuntu servers.

·        Monitoring & Uptime: Experience with server monitoring tools to ensure high performance and uptime.

·        Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably DigitalOcean) for server deployment and management; experience with cloud-based applications and database backups.

·        Security Expertise: Knowledge of system security protocols, including intrusion detection systems and server hardening practices.

·        Development Skills: Working knowledge of project deployment (preferably PHP and Python-based projects) and managing code repositories.

·        MQTT Brokers: Experience handling MQTT brokers is a plus.

·        Scripting Proficiency: Knowledge of server-side scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Bash is advantageous.

·        Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.

Teamwork & Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with both technical and non-technical teams.
