Job Summary:


  • We are seeking an innovative and strategic Head - Engineering for our esteemed client to lead the Technology and Engineering teams in the development and manufacturing of Thermal products for the automotive ancillary industry.


  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the technological vision, managing product development, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and spearheading innovative initiatives.


  • This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in innovative technologies, a strong engineering background, and exceptional leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Technology Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company’s technological vision and strategy.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of innovation.


2. Product Development:

  • Oversee the entire product development process from conceptualization to commercialization.
  • Ensure products meet market requirements, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.


3. Innovation and R&D:

  • Lead research and development initiatives to create cutting-edge solutions for the existing and new products.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the technology and engineering teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, and DFS concepts and their application in product development.


4. Quality Assurance:

  • Implement robust quality control processes and systems to ensure product reliability and performance.
  • Address any technical issues promptly and effectively.


5. Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to streamline operations and improve efficiency.


6. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology and engineering team.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.


7. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry bodies, to enhance the company’s technological capabilities.


Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is Mandatory and Master’s Degree in a related field from a Premiere Institute is most preferred.
  • Minimum 25 years of experience in technology and engineering roles, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role in the Automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of driving innovation and leading successful product development initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of Thermal technologies, automotive industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
