Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Engineer to provid engineering suppport for routine production.


Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers and participate in qualifying them before order issuances

- Place orders based on PR and determine requirements from engineering and production schedules.

- Negotiate with supplier to obtain the best cost and delivery requirements.

- Communicate with supplier for PO acknowledgement and confirmation as per QMS procedures.

- Work closely with Engineering & Costing department and Study drawings, material specifications and quality clauses to develop raw material & vendor for new products

- Monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle and regularly update safety stock levels, order minimums and order multiples in the system.

- Ensure on time material availability against promised delivery date and production plan.

- Escalating supplier delivery issues to supply chain manager and planning team.

- Resolving supplier’s technical issues within scope of acceptance or get it solved through engineering dept.

- Maintain effective and proper relations with suppliers or their representatives.

- Collaborate with finance for supplier on time payment.

- Verify the purchase orders and keep PO status up to date.

- Support team to prepare monthly/quarterly/annual management reports.

- Perform work such that a perpetual state of audit readiness is maintained.

- Participate in internal audits as required.

- Supplier Rating & Vendor Performance

- Comply with all Revata Company, departmental and HSE procedures and policies.

- Arranging Quality training for suppliers to make them understand Revata’s quality requirements.

- Apply best practices to maintain Revata guidelines regarding price, service, quality, and delivery.

- Participate in initiatives that will reduce the length of the supply chain, improve fill rates, and optimize inventory & costs.

- Participate in interdepartmental projects/activities as assigned

- Perform other work-related tasks as required as assigned.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3-4 years experience with emphasis in purchasing and materials control experience in a manufacturing environment 

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings / specifications. 

- Knowledge of ISO, API, ASTM Material Standards required.

- Knowledge of Casting, Forging, Heat Treatment process and raw material procurement required.

- Knowledge of machining, Special coating & other manufacturing processes

- Knowledge of Inventory Management

- Excellent negotiation skills

- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products.

- Strong character with effective communication skills both by email; phone and face to face. 

- Strong time management and analytical skills

- Ability to multi-task to meet deadlines yet with a good attention to detail, are essential qualities required for the role.

Office Timings: Monday - Saturday (9:30 AM to 6:30 PM)


Renumeration: CTC will be as per industry standard.
