Role/Job Description:
Program Manager for global biosimilar development
Primary responsibilities:
- Achieve business targets set for the asset in the beginning of the FY
- Have complete ownership of the program with respect to scope, timelines and budget with regular monitoring, tracking and reporting.
- Prepare, publish and track integrated project plans in Microsoft projects and other similar tools
- Weekly review with Biocon Cross Functional Teams (CFT)
- Fortnightly review with Project Leader (PL) from R&D, and Program-Head to report the progress and performance of asset(s)
- Lead Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and meet monthly to bring all stakeholders on the same page, resolve conflicts, determining priorities and identifying escalation points to Program Head and Head R&D
- Lead preparation for internal management review forums like Monthly Business Review (MBR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR), Board presentations
- Prepare budget annually, track and manage the expenses on monthly/quarterly basis. Major focus on 3rd Party expenses & FTEs
- Manage preparation and review of FTE billing statement quarterly
- Liase with legal, finance and Program Head for third party service providers contract negotiation
- Work with CFT to constantly improve systems and process to remove redundancies and bottlenecks
- Work with peers in PMO office to continuously improve the project and program management function
- Achieve business targets set for the asset in the beginning of the FY – inclusive of Scope, schedule, budgets, licensing, milestone payments in licensing/co-development arrangements
- Work with CMC, SCM, Production, BU and BD & Sales team to make sure that the commercial supplies to customers as per the plan
- Client contact for all important communications to maintain healthy relationship. Lead discussions related to troubleshooting
- Lead preparation for biweekly calls and monthly reports to Sr Mgmt and Portfolio Committees
- Lead preparation for the Development Committee (DC) meetings (once a month) and Steering Committee (SC) meetings (half yearly)
- Manage all expectations of Sr.Mgmt and business needs.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Total Experience - 7+ years
- Project management experience (at least 5 plus years)
- Proficiency in Microsoft projects and project management tools (at least 3-4 years)
- PMP certified, preferred
- Basic knowledge in SAP
- Prior experience in R&D / RA/ Mfg / QA (optional)
