HCLTech is hiring Presales Consultant || PAN INDIA
Job Title: Presales Consultant- (Strategic Initiatives/Engineering Services)
Overall Experience: 4 to13 years.
Location: Bangalore or Pan India
Education: Masters
Department: Integrated GTM Team

Key Responsibilities:
1. Solutioning & Proposal Development:
- Lead the creation of tailored engineering services solutions across various domains, including product engineering, platform engineering, VLSI, mechanical, and embedded systems.
- Develop comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, including solution architecture, cost models, value propositions, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure alignment between proposed solutions and HCL’s technical capabilities and industry standards.
2. Client Engagement & Consulting:
- Engage with clients to understand their engineering challenges, needs, and objectives, and position HCL’s services as the optimal solution.
- Conduct presentations, workshops, and demonstrations to highlight HCLTech’s engineering capabilities, leveraging success stories and case studies.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor in the engineering services space.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work in close collaboration with sales, marketing, and solution architects to craft winning bids and proposals.
- Interface with the Digital Business Services (DBS) and Engineering Services (ERS) teams to develop integrated solutions, combining expertise in both digital and engineering services.
- Ensure seamless handover from presales to the delivery team to guarantee the successful execution of proposed solutions.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities within the engineering services landscape.
- Contribute to the development of proactive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies that address the latest industry needs and leverage HCLTech’s differentiators.
- Identify new opportunities for growth in engineering services and proactively engage with the sales team to pursue these leads.
5. Collaterals & Knowledge Management:
- Develop and maintain reusable solution frameworks, templates, case studies, and industry-specific collateral to support ongoing presales efforts.
- Actively contribute to the knowledge management ecosystem by sharing insights and best practices related to solutioning and presales activities.
6. Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor junior presales team members, guiding them in solution development, client interaction, and proposal writing.
- Provide feedback and training to ensure a consistent and high-quality approach to presales across the team.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in engineering services, presales, strategy, or GTM roles, with a focus on cloud modernization, SRE, Digital Engineering, DevOps, and Agile.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the IT services landscape, with proven experience in both Digital Business Services and Engineering Services.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and drive results in a complex, matrixed organization.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, SRE principles, DevOps tools and practices, and Agile methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in market analysis, strategic planning, and identifying trends and opportunities within the IT services industry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working with global engineering clients across industries like automotive, aerospace, healthcare, telecom, or industrial manufacturing.
- Familiarity with emerging trends such as Industry 4.0, digital twins, and sustainable engineering practices
