Workday US Payroll Analyst

Responsibilities:

Assist HRIS to troubleshoot advanced issues with end-user access, business process transactions not flowing as expected, configuration updates

• Administer escalated tickets (Tier 3), troubleshoots issues and provides regular updates for all aging tickets due to level of complexity

• Follow IT global SOPs, and support HR policies and processes with timely and clear documentation

• Together with the HRIS team, support configuration management efforts including creating organizations, tenant level settings, business process design, complex configuration, e.g., payroll earning codes and maintains technical configuration documentation materials

• Together with HRIS team, create domain security plans, e.g., business process security, security groups and system integrations

• Together with InfoSec and Compliance, performs maintenance to ensure data plans adhere to data governance policies

• Together with HRIS, review new features being released in semi-annual update and recommends items considered for deployment

• Tests all security changes made, including for releases and semi-annual updates


Key skills to be successful:

Broad Workday functionality knowledge base with HR domain understanding

• Experience with Agile processes and tools

• Assertive, confident, articulate communicator

• Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability

• Customer oriented with a demonstrated desire to collaborate and deliver

• Strong planning, prioritization, and time management skills


Skills and experience:

8-14 years experience with Workday implementations or optimization with hourly workforce

• Strong configuration experience with all HCM modules: core HR & security, recruiting & talent, core comp, advanced comp & benefits, absence, time tracking, US / CAN / UK payroll

• Workday Pro certification preferred, but not required

• Jira experience preferred, but not required
