Role Name: Account Director - B2B

Summary: As a member of the Account Service team, you are a one-part B2B marketing expert and one-part relationship pioneer. You are the engine that drives your client relationships/programs/projects and you serve as the senior point-of-contact promoting organic growth for the 2 - 5 accounts assigned to you. You champion client strategy (independently and in collaboration with our strategy & media department) confidently influencing senior client decision-makers. You leverage your knowledge of business, industry, marketing, and client dynamics to drive progress and performance. You have a growth mindset: You take an active role in individual and client growth by developing a portfolio account approach – understanding how multiple clients, opportunities, senior contacts, and case studies/experiences influence success.


Key Responsibilities:

I. Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the client services team, ensuring seamless execution of client campaigns and initiatives across various verticals.

II. Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers within our B2B client portfolio, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor.

III. Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on cross-selling opportunities, while proactively addressing client needs and challenges.

IV. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, account management, and strategy, to ensure effective communication and alignment with client objectives.

V. Develop and implement client retention strategies, fostering long-term partnerships built on trust, transparency, and exceptional service delivery.

VI. Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to continuously enhance our service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

VII. Ensure adherence to agency processes, policies, and quality standards, while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and client-centric service excellence.

VIII. Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities, showcasing thought leadership and building brand recognition.


Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in a relevant field (Marketing, Business Administration, or similar); advanced degree preferred.

- Proven track record of 5-10 years of progressive experience in client services or account management roles within the advertising/marketing industry, with mandatory exposure to B2B clients.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels, both internally and externally.

- Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of B2B marketing strategies, industry trends, and client needs.

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and deliver effective solutions.

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in client relationship management and project tracking.
