Job Outline -


The job involves:

  1. Monthly and yearly closing entries, preparation of draft monthly accounts, review of general ledger, preparation of schedules for quarterly accounts in close coordination with finance department at Hyderabad campus, review and reconciliation of revenue accounts.
  2. Maintenance of accounts for institutes, grants, and contributions, ensuring compliance with grant terms, providing monthly updates to institutes on grants & their utilisation etc.
  3. Complying with statutory matters relating to TDS, GST (Punjab, Delhi, Haryana), and filing of returns as per prescribed frequencies
  4. Help Ensuring timely and accurate GST input reconciliation and its accounting.
  5. Monthly departmental budget vs. actual statement, variance analysis, coordination with departments and providing the details/clarifications on budgets for the School.
  6. Overall supervision of day-to-day bank and cash receipt and payments transactions, foreign currency payments, statutory payments, CA certification for FX payments, submission of forms for foreign currency payments, utilisation certificates for contribution in foreign currency, bank balance reconciliation etc.
  7. Overall supervision for accounts receivables (Mohali other than PGP & Grants for the School), Accounts payables (employees & VF), Reconciliation with GL, age-wise analysis and reporting etc.
  8. First point of contact for statutory auditors (for Mohali campus), coordinating with cost, statutory and internal auditors.
  9. Governance of Expense Management System including budget uploads, coordination for creation of IO’s, updating masters, query resolution etc.
  10. Budget Management through budget uploads in Fund Centers & Internal Orders (IOs), overseeing usage, preparation of schedules & statements, and resolution of budget error inquiries.
  11. Support FP&A function for Annual Budget & Quarterly Projections, Preparation of monthly Management reports and schedules and providing insights and summaries to assist decision-making and planning processes
  12. Scrutinizing Actual Financial data for General Ledger (GL), Cost Centre (CC) & Fund usage, spot any irregularities and make necessary corrections.
  13. Ensuring compliance with the financial policies and internal controls.
  14. On-the-job training of direct reports and reviewing their developmental needs.

Supporting other departments in Mohali Campus on legal and statutory compliance matters.

B.Com/ M. Com and with CA / ICWAI with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in a medium-sized organisation in the finance/accounts department
