Senior Digital Marketing Manager

Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead our comprehensive digital marketing efforts for our gaming portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across multiple digital marketing disciplines and a proven track record in the gaming industry.
Responsibilities and Technical Requirements:
1. Content Strategy and Management:
- Develop and execute content strategies across multiple platforms (websites, blogs, Medium)
- Proficiency in SEO-optimized content creation, including keyword research and implementation
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Ghost)
- Ability to analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics and content-specific analytics platforms
2. Paid Advertising Campaigns:
- Manage campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Apple Search Ads, etc.)
- Deep understanding of bidding strategies, audience targeting, and ad creative optimization
- Experience with programmatic advertising and real-time bidding (RTB) platforms
- Proficiency in campaign tracking and attribution modeling
- Ability to optimize for key metrics such as CPI (Cost Per Install), ROAS (Return on Ad Spend), and LTV (Lifetime Value)
3. Social Media Optimization (SMO):
- Expertise in social media strategy for gaming, including content calendars and posting schedules
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer)
- Experience with social media advertising and boosted posts
- Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools
- Understanding of community management best practices
4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- In-depth knowledge of on-page and off-page SEO techniques
- Experience with technical SEO, including site speed optimization and structured data
- Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz)
- Understanding of link building strategies and best practices
- Ability to conduct and interpret SEO audits
5. App Store Optimization (ASO):
- Experience optimizing app listings for both Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Proficiency in ASO tools (e.g., App Annie, Sensor Tower, Mobile Action)
- Understanding of app store algorithms and ranking factors
- Experience with A/B testing app store elements (icons, screenshots, descriptions)
- Knowledge of localization strategies for global app distribution
6. Influencer Outreach and Community Management:
- Experience managing influencer campaigns across platforms (YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, TikTok)
- Proficiency in influencer outreach tools and CRM systems
- Understanding of FTC guidelines for influencer marketing
- Experience with community management platforms (e.g., Discord, Reddit)
- Ability to develop and track KPIs for influencer and community initiatives
7. Analytics and Reporting:
- Advanced proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
- Experience with mobile app analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase, Amplitude)
- Ability to set up and interpret multi-touch attribution models
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio)
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical significance in marketing contexts
8. Streaming Platform Marketing (Twitch and TikTok):
o Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for Twitch and TikTok to promote gaming content and increase user engagement
o Proficiency in creating and optimizing content specifically for Twitch and TikTok audiences
o Experience in managing and growing Twitch channels and TikTok accounts for gaming brands
Key Result Areas (KRAs) for Streaming Platform Marketing:
a) Twitch:
- Increase channel followers and average concurrent viewers by X% quarterly
- Develop and implement strategies to boost channel subscriptions and bits donations
- Create and manage a consistent streaming schedule to maximize audience retention
- Organize and execute successful Twitch events, tournaments, and charity streams
- Collaborate with Twitch streamers and influencers to expand reach and engagement
- Optimize Twitch channel elements (panels, overlays, emotes) for brand consistency and user engagement
- Implement and monitor Twitch chat moderation strategies
- Analyse Twitch Analytics to inform content strategy and measure ROI
b) TikTok:
- Grow TikTok followers and video views by X% month-over-month
- Achieve a minimum engagement rate of X% on TikTok content
- Create and implement a content calendar for regular TikTok posts (minimum X posts per week)
- Develop trending and viral content strategies specific to gaming on TikTok
- Increase use of branded hashtags and participate in relevant TikTok challenges
- Collaborate with TikTok creators and influencers in the gaming niche
- Implement TikTok advertising campaigns to boost visibility and app installs
- Analyse TikTok metrics to refine content strategy and improve performance
c) Cross-Platform Integration:
- Develop strategies to funnel Twitch and TikTok audiences to game downloads or in-app purchases
- Create cross-platform campaigns that leverage both Twitch and TikTok's unique features
- Implement tracking and attribution for user acquisition from Twitch and TikTok
- Analyse the impact of Twitch and TikTok marketing efforts on overall game performance and user retention
Technical Skills for Streaming Platform Marketing:
- Proficiency in streaming software (e.g., OBS, Streamlabs)
- Experience with Twitch and TikTok APIs for custom integrations and data analysis
- Knowledge of Twitch extensions and how to leverage them for marketing purposes
- Familiarity with TikTok's Creator Marketplace and advertising platform
- Understanding of live streaming best practices, including audio/video quality optimization
- Experience with real-time engagement tools and chatbots for Twitch
The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in growing gaming communities on Twitch and TikTok, with a track record of successful campaigns and collaborations. They should be able to stay ahead of platform trends and algorithm changes, adapting strategies quickly to maintain and improve performance.
Additional Technical Skills:
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript for marketing purposes
- Familiarity with API integrations for marketing tools and platforms
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo)
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on marketing
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role in the gaming industry
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-channel digital marketing campaigns
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Excellent project management and team leadership abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends and best practices in the gaming industry
