Assistant Procurement Manager

Key responsibilities:


* Responsible for searching vendors for new products and for service contracts.

* Introducing vendors upon competitive prices for new and existing products and to build a relation with them for long term business.

* Taking price quotation for the products from the vendors (existing/ new) and effectively negotiating with them as per the target price.

* Processing all purchase requisitions by the branches and coordinating with Vendors for Contract/PFI, sharing the PO with acceptance in return subject to relevant terms and conditions.

* Preparing Management Information System (MIS) on regular basis regarding the orders and shipment reports.

* Maintaining the files/ records of the documents in relation to the arrangements with the vendors (such as issue of PO, revision of PO, addition and deletion of any product related thing in PO, maintaining of Labels, etc.).

* Following up with the vendors to ensure the products are shipped and delivered with in committed timelines.

* Reviewing of documents received from vendors after shipment of orders.

* Working closely with the vendors to resolve any kind of issue such as issue regarding the quality of the materials, shipping date, discrepancy regarding free detention days, any extra charge raised by shipping line at port of destination, etc.

* Tracking of the consignment/ order to check whether they reach the destination port on time or not.
