Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager - Procurement (Design & Build) will support the procurement activities related to our design and construction projects. This role involves sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in procurement within the construction or design and build industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management:

  • Identify and source potential suppliers for materials and services required in design and build projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Handle the end-to-end procurement process, including preparing and issuing purchase orders, managing bids, and administering contracts.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential data.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze market trends to identify potential cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Implement cost control strategies to meet budgetary objectives.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to ensure timely procurement.

Inventory Coordination:

  • Coordinate with project managers and warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs to prevent project delays.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in procurement activities.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, savings, and supplier performance.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and process improvements.
