Job Description: New Product Development (NPD) Specialist

Job Location: Oman

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the entire New Product Development (NPD) process, from concept to delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within scope, and meet customer expectations.
  • Design and develop new products, including creating detailed mould drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and 2D & 3D drawing software.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements, providing regular updates and feedback on the development process.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely production and delivery of new products.
  • Oversee the prototyping process, including testing and validation of new products to ensure they meet quality and functional standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all product development activities, including design revisions, customer feedback, and project milestones.
  • Manage and resolve any technical issues that arise during the development process, ensuring that products meet all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Continuously improve the NPD process by integrating customer feedback, industry best practices, and new technologies.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support product launches and ensure that new products are successfully introduced to the market.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in New Product Development, with a strong focus on mould design, customer interaction, and project management.
  • Proven experience in creating and interpreting technical drawings, particularly using AutoCAD and 2D & 3D drawing software.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, including design, prototyping, testing, and production.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good command of both English and Hindi, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
