Brief Job Summary

Assist in Product Development for all Product categories of the Brand starting from seasonal brief to final MRP, in-line with PD & Sourcing strategy to drive Innovation, Cost, Quality, Agility, Responsiveness.


Key Deliverables

  • Develop products within the cost targets and meet Brand Cogs Target at product category level.
  • Ensure products are developed within scope of Sourcing strategy i.e., Full Package I Innovation | Product Complexity
  • Ensure seasonal development plans are as per agreed metrics for each season and responsible for developmental budget.
  • Adherence of Go to Market (GTM) calendar Time lines, Ensure Ontime Delivery of Samples and Sales Sample tools, Bulk Sealing, MRP, Tech pack accuracy and 100% System related PD activities are completed as per the GTM timelines.
  • Drive rationalization through fabrics/Product codes for efficiency season over season
  • Collaboratively manage developmental effectiveness with Cross Functional teams.
  • Develop products with stage wise Risk review for seamless bulk execution, ensure alignment with critical stakeholders.
  • Engage with Fabric team to conduct seasonal mill week presentations, influencing fabric selected meets Brand Standards
  • Drive development workshops for Road show sample sealing.
  • Product wise vendor allocation considering capabilities/capacities adhering to Brand protocols and in sync with existing sourcing strategy/guard rails.
  • Simplify Product Development through re-engineering or optimal usage of raw materials.
  • Ensure accuracy of Tools (Techpack, BOM & Line Sheets) given to Sourcing / vendors required for development / bulk production (Initial Samples, Sales samples & Bulk).
  • Continuous elevation of product performance/ aesthetics in collaboration with Design, Brand Partner and Fabric Team


Education & Experience

B. Tech (Textiles) / Graduate/Postgraduate (Fashion Tech) from NIFT


  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Product Development (Garments, preferably Menswear)
  • Technical expertise is a MUST specifically in Men’s Woven Shirts and Men’s Trousers
  • Should have strong experience in PLM/similar application tool for Techpack and BOM creation
  • Exposure to Digital/technology tools would be an added advantage.
  • Collaborative working relationships with cross functional partners
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development.
  • Technical strong coupled with commercials.
