We are seeking an experienced General Manager - Accounts with over 15 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in compliance, import/export operations, auditing, and accounting. Experience in liaising with government agencies and a preference for candidates with a background in the manufacturing sector will be highly regarded.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Ø Financial Management:

·        Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

·        Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

·        Manage the company’s financial planning and risk management processes.

Ø Compliance and Auditing:

·        Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

·        Coordinate internal and external audits.

·        Implement and maintain robust internal controls.

Ø Import and Export Operations:

·        Manage financial aspects of import and export operations.

·        Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and policies.

·        Oversee logistics and supply chain finance.

Ø Banking and Finance:

·        Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.

·        Oversee cash flow management, investments, and financing activities.

·        Optimize the company’s capital structure and funding strategies.

Ø Accounting:

·        Oversee the accounting department and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

·        Implement and manage accounting policies and procedures.

·        Ensure proper maintenance of accounting records and documentation.

Ø Government Liaison:

·        Visit and liaise with government agencies for queries and compliance-related matters.

·        Ensure timely submission of statutory reports and filings.

Ø Team Leadership:

·        Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.

·        Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: -

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounts, finance, and related fields.
  • Extensive experience in the banking and finance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, auditing, and accounting principles.
  • Experience in import and export financial operations.
  • Familiarity with government regulations and experience in liaising with government agencies.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.


Experience:

·        15+ Years’ Experience in a similar role.

Skills:

·        Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations

·        Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

·        Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

·        Excellent financial management and analytical skills.

·        Strong leadership and team management abilities.

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.

·        High level of integrity and ethical standards.
