Assistant General Manager

This newly created role within the Calcination Business Unit will assume global accountability for production planning and control within the Rain Carbon organization. The primary objective is to maximize Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) margins by minimizing Green Petroleum Coke (GPC) input costs while meeting CPC quality requirements.
The role will focus on integrating USA and India - GPC procurement and CPC production and blending operations. The role is integral to Rain Carbon production operations, ensuring that raw material blends meet rigorous customer specifications for each shipment while optimizing efficiency and maintaining cost-effectiveness.
This position requires a deep understanding of production control, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Establish a global production planning function at Hyderabad, India, integrating data from USA and India calcining operations
- Analyze and optimize blending and production of all available GPC sources to minimize CPC production costs, including logistics costs
- Develop detailed production plans for all CPC customer shipments, ensuring specifications are met at the lowest possible GPC cost
- Integrate CPC movements and blending between Rain Carbon’s USA and India operations
- Regularly interact with senior-level Commercial, Production, and Technical Service Departments within Rain Carbon’s global organization
- Work closely with plant managers and the operations team to align production control with daily and long-term production goals
- Centralize production planning functions in India to leverage the lower-cost business environment, including daily SAP transaction activity
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 10+ years of experience in production control, supply chain management, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on bulk raw materials
Skills must for the Job
- Strong finance and analytical skills
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel
- Knowledge of logistics movements is preferable
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a global, cross-functional team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
